Frequently Asked Questions
Ice production varies by model. Most ice makers produce 25–550 Lbs of ice per 24 hours.Actual ice output may vary depending on ambient temperature, water temperature, and ventilation conditions. The rated capacity is measured under standard laboratory conditions.
Common ice types include:
Cube Ice: Slow-melting, ideal for whiskey, cocktails, and spirits
Crescent Ice: Less likely to clump, commonly used in restaurants and bars
Bullet Ice: Fast ice production, perfect for everyday beverages.
*Please refer to the product details page for the specific ice type of your model.
Yes. Cotlin ice makers require a direct water connection to an external water source for operation.
This depends on the model:Gravity drain models require a floor drain or a low-level drain outlet.Models with a built-in drain pump can pump water upward, offering more flexible installation options. Some Cotlin models do not require a drain connection, such as the IMC25BI. Please refer to the specific product details page for drainage requirements.
Most built-in ice makers feature a reversible door design, allowing the door to be installed for left-hand or right-hand opening to fit your space.
Most ice makers can produce the first batch of ice within 10–20 minutes. The initial cycle may take slightly longer during first-time use, which is normal.
Yes. When the ice storage bin is full, the machine will automatically stop making ice. Once ice is removed, it will resume operation automatically.

Yes. Models labeled Undercounter or Built-in are designed for built-in installation. Adequate ventilation and clearance must be provided to ensure proper airflow and heat dissipation.
Under normal operation, the noise level is approximately 45–55 dB, which is comparable to a standard household refrigerator.
*Noise may be slightly higher during the ice-making and draining cycles. This is normal and expected.
Some models, such as the IMC25BI, are designed to keep ice frozen. For other models, the ice may gradually melt into water and be automatically drained. This is part of the intended design and not a malfunction.
Yes. For home use, it is recommended to clean the ice maker every 1–3 months. For commercial use or frequent operation, monthly cleaning is recommended to maintain optimal performance and ice quality.
If the ice maker will not be used for a long time, please drain all water from the tank and water lines, clean the interior and allow it to dry completely, and disconnect the power supply before storage.
Yes. When using a clean water source and performing regular cleaning, the ice produced is safe and odor-free. Lack of regular cleaning may lead to odors or mineral buildup over time.
It is recommended to use a dedicated ice maker cleaner or a food-grade descaling solution diluted according to the instructions in the user manual.Do not use strong acids, strong alkalis, or abrasive tools such as steel brushes, as these may damage the machine.
